serious technical issues

the screen on my laptop went completely black and there was nothing I could do, so I shut it off (by holding the power button) it turned off but now it won't turn on! it starts to come on but then after a few seconds it goes off again and it does so in a loop. worst of all the screen never comes on at all it just stays completely blank. I don't know if the two issues are related (without the screen I don't know what else is happening)

any advice? I know nothing about the workings of computers so even the most basic advice would be helpful. I tried google-ing the problem but can't find any solution.

its a compaq presario F730US and its out of warranty.

until I fix this I won't be very active, sorry.

No, I don't have any other accounts, but this one has had a make-over recently. I got the subscriber's journal-skin because I was mysteriously given a premium membership by... well, I still haven't figured that out. I have new drawings, & I started taking pictures instead.

We did have a few conversations about scythes, kama, katar, cestus, claws, & lantern bucklers, though. That was quite awhile back, I think.
